Bring back parent to USA with Green Card and Valid Two Year Re-Entry Permit

Hi,

My parent left USA in October of 2018 with a TWO year Re-Entry permit (valid until October 2020).

1. Green card has a validity date of 2024.
2. I have been filing my parent tax here in the USA with their pension income eversince my parent got the green card in 2014. No gaps in tax filing

My questions are as follows:

1. What documents my parent should carry with them for air travel in addition to a). Passport b). Green Card c). Re-Entry Permit d). Original Tax Transcripts
2. What questions can be asked at the airport ?

Green card and reentry permit is all that is needed for US entry. Airline will want to see a passport.

I had exactly the same question as yours. My father has a re-entry permit which is still valid. How was your experience in getting your parent back within the validity period?
