what are you wanting to know ? They will not contact you to tell you that they have received your forms. And I do believe that you are not current yet so you wont get an interview for at least another 2 months

Ok to answer the questions - your forms will be processed in around 8 weeks after they received the forms. They do a basic check to make sure there is nothing obviously wrong. They do not contact you at all at this stage.

Then you have to wait until your number is current. They process the cases in number order and they announce a maximum case number (per region) on each visa bulletin. The VBs are shown here:
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin.html

Once your number is lower than the number on the visa bulletin you would then receive your 2NL - an email - which tells you to check the Status check website to find details of your appointment. Right now, the latest bulletin tells us that case numbers for Europe low than 20050 are being scheduled for March interviews.

Now, here is the hard part. It is very likely (I am about 99.9% sure) that not all selectees will get called for an interview. There will be a cutoff where the supply of visas (less than 55,000) has been used up and still there are people waiting. That is because they selected 140,000 winners - many more than usual. Many of those will not proceed but based on previous years return and approval rates it is hard to imagine them needing more than 115/120k selectees to fill supply. So - the people with the highest case numbers will miss out. I have to tell you that according to most estimates (which is no more than educated guesswork) your number is going to be too high. No one knows for sure, but you should be prepared for that eventuality.

Does that make sense?

Hi Britsimon,

Very clear answer, many thanks.
So for the moment I am just waiting and finger crossed maybe I will be lucky,

Thanks agains!

my case (AS2xxx) experience is around 6-8 weeks to finish the 1st step work for KCC.
I sent the initial documents on Nov 1st, and KCC replied my case is waiting interview schedule process on Dec 26th thru email. It took around 6-8 weeks.
about the 2NL, it's like Simon says will take a week after the VB released and usually on Friday/weekend. I did receive the email on Friday 1/17 from KCC tell me to check my case detail updated on the Entry check website. I am scheduled in March.

Thank you Simon, really appreciate your advice.
