Form N-14 additional time required

Hi all and thank you in advance for your help.

I was cited for DUI a couple of days before my naturalization interview. I, of course, disclosed the arrest to the immigration officer, who in turn, gave me Form N-14 with a deadline to submit evidence or dismissal documents. My DUI attorney advises there is a good chance my case gets dismissed but probably will not have all documents before the N-14 deadline. How can I request for additional time to submit these documents? We're talking no more than three months. Thank you

It is tough. The crminal court may offer you a deal that will dismiss yoru case after typicallly 6 month of no offense.
If USCIS want you to have dismissal in 3 month, you may have the trouble.

Thanks for your response. Can I request for additional time to the immigration officer after the time on the N-14 expired? Thanks,
