Revoke I140 with Approved GC

Hello Everyone,

I have few questions regarding revoking I140 after GC approval.

Could the sponsoring employer revoke I140 after GC has been approved? If so, under what circumstances? Could it be revoked even if someone switches job after 6 months of getting the GC?

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Eric

GC applied in EB1C
GC applied on - Sep 2012
I485 approval date - Nov 2012
GC received - Nov 2012

Once GC is granted, I-140 cannot be revoked, unless there is clear fraud involved.

Switching jobs after getting GC also has no impact on either GC or I-140, unless there is clear fraud involved.

Thanks for the clarification..Is there a cooling off period (180 days) only after which one must switch jobs or that doesn't have to do anything with I140 revocation and has more to do with future 'Citizenship' considerations??

As long as you had a good faith desire to take up the job offered on GC approval, you are OK. One is free is choose any job after getting GC, a few months wait is always good. If one quits the next day, then be prepared to answer questions down the line when you file N-400. If employer changes his mind after you get your GC and fires you, you have nothing to worry about the GC itself.

Thanks again.. after reading posts on other portals, I was concerned that employer might revoke I140 after someone switches job out of spite..
