Yellow notice: Driver's License and other records at interview

I just got a yellow notice that asks me:

- bring your state driver's license or state-issued photo id card

- you indicated in your application that you have been arrested. For all these arrests and any other incidents in whicj you may have been involved, bring originals or certified copies of all arrest records and court dispositions showing how each incident was resolved

However, I have never been arrested and they should know that since my background check cleared in a few days (I got the interview scheduled only ten days after FP). I did indicate on the form that I got cited for minor traffic violations that resulted in fines (paid). And I cheched the only box that included the word 'cited', along with arrested, detained, etc.

Moreover, the document checklist that was sent with the interview letter states:

NOTE: Unless a traffic incident was alcohol or drug related or serious personal injuri to another person occured, you do not need to submit documentation for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine of less than $500 and/or points on your driver's license.

So there is no document to bring because there hasn t been any arrest. I suspect it's a routine form they send for anybody who has any of those legal boxes checked.

I appreciate any suggestions or information based on similar interview experiences. Many thanks in advance!

Thanks. So you mean if I cheched any of the 'legal' boxes they'll automatically send a yelow form (which doesn't necessarily mean it applies to my particular case--cited is not arrested, fines lower than $500).

Btw is that what you mean by yellow letter?

Yes do not worry, this is an automated letter and standarized answer for when you tick the cited, or arrested, and it automatically says that you were arrested even if you were not. Do not worry, Just make sure you bring proof of having paid your fine, or a clerk certificate or whatever you have. No big deal

Thanks. However why do they say you don't need to bring records if the traffic fine was less than 500 and not alcohol and drug related?

Most of these tickets (around ten over many years) were in other states and I don't remember exactly the jurisdiction, etc. I don't even know how I would get all that the info in just a few weeks.

teemcafe,
Are you filing under 3 or 5 yrs ?
I got a yellow letter last week too and have listed almost everything I already submitted
- Drivers license - already filed with application but can still provide.
- Original/copies of tax I filed last 3 yrs - already filed with my application
- all passports/travel documents including expired ones- can present at interview
-Proof of arrest since I indicated that on my application- already filed with the application with explanation
- Proof of termination of previous marriages- already filed with the application

What does all these requests mean ? Problem at the interview when the time comes ?

You got interview in 12 days ?
Did you receive your yellow form with the interview date ?
Mine said "This is not an interview request" and no date was mentioned on mine. Just the requests to bring to the interview.
And by the way, you must have done your interview by now, how did it go ?

Thanks

Filing under 5 years. The documents requested on the first interview notice that apply to my case are only:

Letter
Passports used for entry
Green card

In addition there are the ones in the yellow letter (Driver s License or ID, records of arrest and court dispositions--though I ve pnly been cited for minor traffic violations so this should not apply to me)
