dv 2013...3500 visa for each country...including spouse and children or excluding??

hey guys,,,i need answer to my query...what is the number of dv visa available to a country in each fiscal year?? i have heard of 3500 visa to each country...does this number include spouse and children of the principal applicant or excluding spouse and children?? 3500 principal applicant visa+ extra visa for their spouse and children or what??

hey thanx for your reply...
but im not asking total selected...i am asking about the total visa issued i.e. 3500 a year to a particular country. principal applicant visa + spouse and children of the principal applicant visa=3500???? OR there are extra visa above 3500 for spouse and children??? does the spouse and children fall under the 3500 quota....???

maximum number of visas available for a country is 3500(including spouse and children). So number of principal applicant getting visas will obviously be less than 3500.
