Original documents

Dear friends,

I have a question regarding the original documents for the interview (like Bachelor degree, employment letter, etc..).

Do the embassy take these documents and keep them or we can give them a copy of them with original for verification, then they will give us back the original documents, as I have a couple of documents which I can't get a replacement for.

Whoever did the interview help me on this please.

They do not keep the originals of your diplomas/degrees. I provided them with the originals and a copy, they kept the copy and they verified that they corresponded with the originals.

However, they kept the originals of the birth certificate and the police records. These were documents that were requested by me at my local authorities especially for the immigration purpose, and that can be requested again when necessary, so there's no problem in that.

Thanks, that's what I want to know, as I can't get more than one of my bachelor degree and work experience.

Original documents belong to you and it is wrong for any one to possess them in perpetuity unless with your consent. Am surprised that the embassy remained with some one's birth certs. That is irregular. They can remain with your fingure prints and police cert. That is ok. But not your personal documents like birth certs and school certs.
