chances of getting a visa

I am a 2012 DV selectee but was late in checking my results.I checked them late after a notification from KCC. is there any chances of me being given a visa my case number is 2012......11xxx
 
Hi,

Yes you still have all your chances. A matter of fact they just selected more people this month which mean they surely haven't reached the quota yet.
You need to start the procedure asap by sending the 2 forms an photographs to the KCC.

Hi Kazore
just a bit confused where did you see the note that they were selecting more people this month?

I thought it was October when they MAY select more entries?

You will get a visa, you just have to be patient, you will be called for an interview, when they do, go alone, do not go with any person as your wife or relatives

So I madly rushed to check our 2012 confirmation numbers, just in case, but no, we weren't selected. I didn't get any email but I checked anyway. No worries though, I'm a DV2013 selectee but it would have been nice to get this over with sooner. The waiting must drive everyone mad! It is for me already. Our interview will probably be February - that feels like forever!! :D

To Judy: I think it would not be too late. Your number was current on November of last year but I would phone them right away and let them know you're a bit late in sending in your forms. Just tell them you are still pursuing the visa and ask if there's anything you need to know. Good luck!

In another forum a girl wrote that after she checked on May 1th and learned that she was not selected,she didn't check again because she never realized that they conducted a new drawing.So,I guess all the people receiving the emails now,asking them to check their status never realized that the May results were voided and they were selected in the second drawing.
