Hi, Guys :)

First of all congratulations for all being selected this year. I have many questions in my mind hoping to find an answer to in this so helping community :)

1- Can I do the medical Exam in a country, and make the interview in another country because I have to travel in the period between doing the medical and the interview ?

2- If yes, does the embassy in country of the interview will require any EXTRA papers than the usual requirements ?

3- If i already filled the form 230 and wrote the embassy/consular office i want to do the interview in and already sent it, can I change that later-on before the interview ?

4- Do i have to fill the form as soon as possible and send it ? my case number is 9XXX, that should put me in which month to do the interview?

Waiting your replys :)
Thanks beforehand

I suppose so, but this may delay your interview. The physicians that conduct the medical exam are certified to do so by the local U.S. diplomatic mission of the country in question. The results of the medical exam are passed directly onto the Embassy/Consulate of the examining country. Perhaps it’s possible for that Embassy/Consulate to pass it onto another, but that’s irregular and you would have to investigate what the transfer process of case files between consulates is yourself.

2- If yes, does the embassy in country of the interview will require any EXTRA papers than the usual requirements ?

It’s up to you to enquire whether this is even possible. I suggest the medical is conducted in the same place you interview.

3- If i already filled the form 230 and wrote the embassy/consular office i want to do the interview in and already sent it, can I change that later-on before the interview ?

The Consular/Embassy I believe is in form DSP-122. If you want/need to change where your interview is taking place, you need to contact the KCC and request alterations are made to the information they hold in your DSP-122/230 either by telephone or in writing (including email). Should you email/write in, chase it up with a phone call and make sure it’s processed. Do this as soon as possible.

4- Do i have to fill the form as soon as possible and send it ? my case number is 9XXX, that should put me in which month to do the interview?

What region? It is recommended that you submit as soon as possible, after thoroughly checking that the information you write in is accurate.

@slash_dot
Thank you for your fast help :)
I'll contact both the embassy and KCC
so i can make sure of the information.

I have another question. My wife is pregnant and we're expecting a baby. But not soon, so i have to fill the forms and send it without including him/her. So how can we add him/her later on after delivery ??

Thanks again :)

Yes you can do it after birth.

Thank you :)
Could you tell me how? What are the forms then to fill ?

How it normally works is after birth you fill the Form i cannot remember which one it is and email it to KCC. If the interview is close to the date of birth KCC will ask you to take this form and the Photos along with Proof of birth - Birth certificate and baby to the interview.

there the baby will also be processed.

there is also the option of the baby being processed directly at the POE but that depends on when the birth takes place and when the interview is conducted.

for now send your forms and endure the long wait!

Another questions popped up in my mind :)
In the application process for DV 2013 in last October, I wrote my name "Tertiary" (Middle name is father's only) ... but it's written in the passport " Quaternary" (middle name is father's + grandfather's) but no change in the first or family names ... So, in the forms i have to send to KCC, Should I write it down "Tertiary" or "Quaternary" ??

Thanks in advance :)

Name differences have been known to cause problems in some cases.

The name you need to put now should be exactly how it appears on your passport and birth certificate and that hopefully is the same with the Education certificates etc.

The other name you mistakenly used and if you have evidence of may be written in the aka. field on the ds forms

Ok, how can I get the evidence that my middle name is written single or double ? All of my official documents are writthen double (father's+grandfather's) !

Thank you

You must use the name as it appears on your official documents (Passport, birth certificate and education certificate). Using any other name will cause a lot of problems.

No problem with that. My problem now is that in the application done in the past October and the Selection letter. My middle name is only my father's name while in official documents it's my father's+my grandfather's names !

Example
My name in passport is " King, Martin Lother Steven "
I wrote it " King, Martin Lother " neglecting my grandfather's (Steven)

So how can I get myself out of that dilemma ?!
Thank you

Edit: Question 19 of DS-230 Part 1 Form .... It asks about the Middle name of the father ... How can I use this for supporting me ?

Write the two middle names (father and grandfather) in the middle name section. Consistency is the key, despite not adding grandfather's name in the original application. I'am sure KCC will rectify this before it gets to your country's consulate. It is better to attach a copy of your birth certificate and an explanation with your forms.

Hi, Again :)

I'm about to send the forms but I'm confused about the envelop I'm putting the papers in. I've read that in form DS-230 " Using the enclosed self-adhesive return address label, immediately send this form along with Form DS-230 "

1- What's the "enclosed self-adhesive return address label" ???
2- Is it a must to do that, or an ordinary envelop can be enough ?
3- About the photos, how should I attach them? Stick them with glue, Clip?

Please share your knowledge with these stuff :)

Thanks again for everyone here :)

There is no self-adhesive to use. This was used during the period when notification letters where sent through the post. An ordinary envelop with the right address is sufficient.
Attach the photos to your forms by a paper clip.
