My wife is pregnant, Need advise.

I think there isn't hope ....
KCC did not email me back, I even emailed the embassy again and I quoted a paragraph in travel.state.gov site

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3745.html#_What_if_the_1

The paragraph says

Pregnant applicants who do not wish to have the X-ray will be granted a temporary exemption when they provide written certification of pregnancy signed by their personal physician or obstetrician.

But they replied that my wife still have to do the x-ray

I am thinking of dropping the whole thing and not go to the interview because I will not take the risk of the radiations from the x-ray to harm my baby.

All the time I was excited but now I feel disappointed, I cannot imagine how they insist on something that could harm a human being.

very difficult position. if a doctor tells you its not safe then its not worth the risk. How desperate are you for this visa!

the last think i could suggest is as follows but it involves some financial risk at the most.

Do your medicals do not do the xray for your wife then go ahead for the interview and do your best to convince the CO in the subject take all the printouts from this forum and doctors recommendations, internet studies on x rays etc. have faith in God the CO may consider all this and grant you the visa. if not then what the hell a few $$$ gone and think it was not supposed to be in your destiny.

but i suggest do not give up without a fight.
