I have a new born baby born in USA. Babyis USA citizen. I have already posted form DS-230 to KCC, Now do i need to inform KCC rightnow about new born baby at item #29 or i can change it during interview. Ifi informed them right now KCC will take tiem to process it again . To inform KCC how can i do that send email or send new form or amedment.

I would advice u send KCC another completed DS-230 form for your child. Just attach a copy of ur child birth certificate and send it by speed post to their office immediately. You should also send them an E-mail informing them about your child and also send a scanned copy to them. U cannot trust this courier services always. I'm very sure KCC will reply u after they receive your mail and definately make an Adjustment of your case.

I have a number of USC children by birth in USA. I did not include any of them on forms to KCC because they are USC...I did not include them either when entering the lottery etc. I only included spouse because he is NOT a USC. The only place that I wrote their names and dates of birth with places of birth was on I485 and then clicked on NO against their names to indicate that I was not applying for their adjustment of status. I do not believe that any of my forms were incomplete because of that...JUST MY EXPERIENCE.
Also: I have NEVER had to submit birth certificates for the children to USCIS at any given time. The only time that I sent birth certificates was when we applied for their passports to US Dept. of State. I have actually never heard of anywhere or anyone in real life or forums who needed to send BC of their US born children to KCC. I would assume that they are good to documents to have at interview, in case...but not heard of anyone ever being asked (unless it's a marriage based marriage with a child and couple claiming the child is born to both of them).

@makeiteasier, I dont agree with u bro. We have seen and heared cases where documents were complete and perfect, and still, couples were denied of their visa. We dont know why they were denied, but we wont let anyone in this forum make same mistakes. If u succeeded in your interview, that does not mean he should go there on prepared. The CO who interviewed you might have giving you visa, but dont be surprise, thesame CO will deny another fellow his visa with thesame case as yours. This people are very funny and with the way things are going, one should not take chances. You will definately not be there when he and his family will face the CO during questioning and dont be surprise anything can come up on that day.
I will still suggest u do as i said. Let KCC be aware of your new born baby and let them decide on what step u are to take. Those of us in this forum are not professionals in immigration issues, most especially when it comes to this DVLOTTERY stuffs. The child was born in the US,fine, and so he is a CITIZEN automatically, but that does not mean the father should not inform KCC. Let KCC decides where to place the child and not u or i.
Pls send updated ds 230 quickly informing the kcc of ur new arrival of ur baby or u risk of been denied visa. Pls i beg u, send it now. Also email them stating when u gave birth to ur baby. U will be surprised on the interview day ur mail will be printed, they will show u whether the information is correct b/4 they include it on ur document. my 2cents!

I meant for AOS not CPO. If child is USC. And ALREADY in the US and that child DOES NOT NEED ANY PROCESSING OR STATUS ADJUSTMENT. If child is outside the US, that's a different situation especially in countries that allow duo citizenship for children born out of the country whose both parents are citizens of that country. The country where I was born did not allow duo citizenship and all my children were born outside that country in the USA and have never left.
So ur right on disagreeing regarding CP by CO.

My own opinion is, does it hurt to send anyway? If they decide no need to act on it due to child's citisenship then ok, but just in case they decide they DO need the documentation and notification of birth, it's a good thing for them to have it. I don't think it will be a bad thing to send, you just never know how these things turn out. Personally, I agree with notification and sending the information - "leave no stone unturned".

Not sure if this will help, but our youngest was born in the US and is a citizen (also has a US passport he'll be entering US on). We received our second letter from KCC and it mentioned our youngest was on our application. When I had sent the first lot of docs and forms to the KCC I had included our youngest son as he is part of the family and coming to US with us obviously but not intended as him to be part of green card application.
I emailed USCIS to advise he is American so we presume we don't require green card for him unless they said otherwise. They responded saying he has been taken off our application bc he is American and does not require one. We will have his US passport and birth certificate when we arrive in the US, that won't be a problem. By the way, our youngest has dual citizenship as both US and my country of birth allow this. Our app will be CP not AOS, perhaps this situation differs but I doubt it.

I got replied from KCC that my form is good to go for CP processing. Now i have another new born baby. SO, I think i need tos edn updated form. or seprate note sayign adign in intem#20 a new born baby.
