Question about Form N 400

In N 400 one of the ways to prove wife citizenship is using the following:

- The inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse's current U.S. passport;

Does the signature page must be signed or can it be blank?

Does the signature page must be signed or can it be blank?

It is recommended that the passport holder sign's the US passport on receipt.
(for infants/minor's the signature can be done by a parent , and mention the Relationship to the passport holder.)
Even without the signature the US passport is still valid, you just MAY encounter the odd question is to why it is not signed ( since you are using it for the N400 documentation.)
