Hi All,
About a month or so before I became an LPR (2005), I received a speeding ticket in Georgia on I-95 on a Pennsylvania to Florida trip. I remember I was close to the Florida border when it happened, but I'm not sure exactly where it was. The fine was paid (something like $140.00) and I didn't think about it ever since, until the day I had to fill the n400. This was the only citation I marked in my application and the yellow letter indicates the following: "You indicated in your application that you have been arrested. For these arrests and any other incidents in which you may have been involved, bring originals or certified copies of all arrest records and court dispositions showing how each incident was resolved". I never went to court for this ticket, I just payed the fine over mail. I am now trying to figure how to go about getting this documentation and whether I really need it or not, as I recall that the n400 specified that fines under 500 don't need further documentation. I just don't trust that statement and I want to be prepared for the worst in case the IO asks me for proof. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get my record? At the time I had a PA drivers license for which I pull my record and it was clean, no mentions of speeding tickets. Thanks.
