Hw do they inform if printing gets rejected?

Is there a status for printing being rejected. It is almost a month since scanned and granted. Now I am wonderign if the printing part got rejected. IS there a way in which the consulate informs us about that. The website says if the print date does not get updated in 3 weeks then assume it is rejected. DOes that hold good? If yes, then that would mean my application is rejected.

chime in, please?

They don't inform you. Instead they sit on their butt and wait for you to call them and see if the printing has been rejected or not. If they're doing their job correctly then someone will update the status on the passport.nic website telling you the printing has been rejected; but that only happens in rare cases.
Did you apply through the consulate or Travisa. If you applied directly through the consulate then travisa won't help you. But if you applied via travisa then you may have a ray of hope. Try calling or emailing the consulate and see what's going on with your application. recently there was a major delay in printing OCI cards. There was nothing printed between the dates of 25th of April until 12th of May. Give it a week and start bugging them.

I applied thru travisa. However, i did talk to the consulate folks...they said i should wait and assured me that status would change to rejected if that was the case. However, the same office website says assume rejection if printing has not happnend for more than 3 weeks. so the contradiction is suspicious and hence me question. Now, i am not sure what needs to happen

gcpain,

I don't know if you can do anything but wait. Printing has been delaying alot. when I applied for OCI I could see they were printing the next day but mine took about 15 days. right now with workload, it is getting delayed and delayed.

I could say try calling them once every week. Other than that just wait. Does anybody else oci printed in your consulate that has granted date with you? If not just wait. If yes, then your photo's are problem..
