I had a question. I am currently in the US on a B1/B2 visa...

My wife and myself married in India in 3 months ago. Currently i am doing some research to start a business in the us, but I would also like to start my green card procedure.

1.) Can I use my indian marriage certificate as proof of relationship with my spouse ? Or do i need to get married in the US again.

thanks

Is your wife a US citizen? Or are you seeking a green card through investment (EB5)?

But to answer your question ... the US govt. will accept the Indian marriage certificate.

Did you officially register your marriage or it is just a certificate from the religious establishment where you were married? If it's the official certificate then you should be fine.

thanks for all the answers. Luckily I have the civil certificate of the marriage.

Also my wife is a Citizen and I am applying through her.
