Selected for US Visa lottery! A few questions...

Hello

I am British and my husband is Moroccan. We have both been selected to have our applications processed further for the US visa lottery. We married in Morocco in 2008 and since then have been living together in the UK.

I have a few questions:

1. As we were both selected, should we be sending two application forms to the KCC? One each?

2. For each application, do we BOTH need to provide all of the civil documents at the interview? Or only the main applicant?

3. We were married in Morocco and our marriage certificate is in Arabic. What are the requirements for having this translated?

4. Does my husband need to get a police report from the UK and Morocco? He always lived in Morocco prior to our wedding in 2008, and was 26 when we married.

5. Any idea on the time frame for receiving an interview? (Particularly if my husband needs to schedule a trip to Morocco for any documents. He also needs to renew his passport as it expires this December)

You both won so play it safe, process separately because as married you will have to bring lot & lot of documents but as individual, very few, process separately & meet in usa or just depart the same day

The are already married.
 
I was only able to enter as his spouse through marriage, as he is from Morocco (qualifying country) but I am from the UK (non-qualifying). I'm guessing either way we'd have to attend together as I wouldn't have been chosen without him!

I think as we both won, perhaps we are eligible for two interviews with each of us as the principal winner?

If you are British, and I will assume that you are born in the UK, then how come you got selected since you are not eligible to apply in this lottery??!!! According to what you have said, both of you were separately selected, and this is doesn't make any sense because of your place of birth!!

he can be british born somewhere else

Sorry for the confusion

I am British and from the UK, but as I am married to someone for Morocco, we were both eligible to apply. So we made an application each, and were both selected. This is explained in the rules and is allowed. I applied through marriage using his country. I hope this clears things up!

I was surprised as we have both been selected for our separate entries. I believe this means that we can both possibly be the principal winner if we both get an interview.

Hey guys good work in here.I stumbled on this site out of anxiety before the Ist of May and I really like what I am getting.

"Based on the information provided, the Entry HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED for further processing for the 2012 Electronic Diversity Visa program.
Please verify that you have entered all information correctly. You may re-check the Entry status by clicking on the ESC Home Page link below"

Pls does this statement mean I can still be selected?
Cos It seems all my guys also got the message and one of them said it is a batch by batch thingy
My Brethren pls help trash the issue....I believe in you guys

You can both proceed individually each sending an application to KCC or as a couple with one set of applications to KCC. To simplify matters you can just choose the one with the lower case number and apply as a couple. It's still 2 visas anyway you take it.
