Should I go citizen interview or not, please help!!

I am planning to have citizenship interview.

I got my green card through employment basis EB2 on 8/2002.

PD was Feb 1, 2001. I filed I485 on Oct 2001 and laid off on Nov 2001. The original company did not withdraw my I-140. Filed H1 with another company on Dec 2001. I changed job while I485 was pending for less than 180 days.

I am concerned that during citizenship interview whether they will question/deny my green card. Do I cover under 245(i)? Should I go citizen interview or not???

When you say should you go interview, does that mean you have already filed? It sounds like NO, but wanted to be sure.
It is an issue they might look into, but given that this change of job is almost 10 years back, I suspect they are not going to bother.
In your N400, they are most curious about your last 5 years, and unless there are other red flags, they are unlikely to check more than that.
Thinking aloud - was portability / AC21 even allowed those days anyways?
 
I haven't read of any adverse effects of change of jobs during that period. Some people have asked in the forum. As far as I know they all naturalized without trouble. Each case might be slightly different, so take it with a grain of salt. My suggestion would be that you should apply and that you'll be fine.
 
Changing jobs before 180 days of pending I-485 is OK if the employer doesn't revoke the I-140. Your original sponsoring employer kept the I-140 alive, so you'll be fine if the next job met the AC21 "same or similar" criteria.

In addition, you only have to list the past 5 years of work history, and unless there is some red flag the interviewer is unlikely to ask or care about your employment in 2001/2002.

I do have similar situation like your, I received my GC based on 245(i) on 2004, and never work sponsoring company after received GC because company went out of business. I submited N400 on January 11, I hope I will get interview notice soon.
