Photo is valid but file size is 248kb!!??????

I have taken passport photos with my kids in preparation for the DV 2012 application, i tested my baby's picture with the photo validator and it says its valid but am concerned about the image file size which is 248KB. From the DV website, it says maximum image file size is 240KB.

Please, what do you think i should do?

Crop it with an image editing software to get the required size. If you find it difficult, you can send it to my email(prayingforyou20032000@yahoo.com) so that I can resize and send it back to you. Peace! Benniit

Hello Benniit,

I dont understand something. When I scan my picture for 300dpi and then crop it with a program to get 600x600 , the dpi then becomes 96....
DO you think it's enough ?
The instructions say 300dpi...
But I dunno why it does not keep the same dpi... any help plz?

Thanks Benniit, i cropped it and got a file size of 104KB and another of 96KB. Do you think its okay?
One more question please, when i click on the picture to open, it opens in adobe photoshop and it says "adobe photoshop jpeg image" and with a file size of 200kb but when i use IPHOTO to crop it, it becomes 104kb and opens as a jpeg image.

Please,which do i use????
