It's better to check from the US consulate in your country. Some consulates demand 1 whiles others demand 2 photographs. It's advisable to go with 2 photos to avoid any delays.

OK thx for your answer :)
why do they need more photographs ?!
I mean we already sent 2 with the forms.....

yes in your inteview u have to bring another 2 photos, because they will use the new photos for your visa, so just bring another 2 photos I don't think it's a big deal,

Are you having problems getting the 2 photos? 1 for visa and the other for GC. The other 2 sent with the forms may be over 6 months old before your visa will be issued.

No i just think it's stupid to ask for 2 and again 2 if they only use 2....
Plus in france a handful of photographs take this kind of picture so I have to go far and it's expensive...

The most important factors in DV Lottery. All the applicants and if they have dependents, they too are requested to include an individual color photo of themselves in the format of digital image file along with their application forms. These requirements are clearly stated in the DV Lottery 2012 Instructions. Color photos only will be accepted for this green card lottery program. Black and white images or mono color images will not be accepted.

Samule thx for your answer but I think you missunderstood.
I'm talking about the interview, once you are already selected and you have your appoitnement. Not the DV2012 registration...
Thx anayway

I'm sorry but if you can pay for the visa and the medical (about 1000usd) ... surely the pictures shouldn't be a big deal moneywise no? Even if that means that you have to go far and all.

And just like any other official document the pics cannot be older then 6 months. This is also pretty standard.

You need 4 pics, also for the medical check. Besides, I would have some more taken for any other official documents you want to file for once you are in the USA.

Ziva what's your problem?
If I have money to pay 1000usd it means I should be willing to spend even more ? That's the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard.
Plus for me Time is Money, so it takes me 2hours to get the pictures done, and 1hour of my time is worth 20euros without counting the transportations.
So 2hours @ 20 = 40euros + transportation 4euros + 20euros for 2 pictures = 64Euros for pictures or $87.68.... that's almost 10% of the total cost of visa + medicals
You dont think thats a lot of money for pictures ?
Now if you can pay it and it's nothing for you, then you can send me money, this would be super nice.
If you dont have anything smart to say, you should not speak to say useless things.

I don't have a problem at all and I can say what I want, that's what a forum is for. If you don't want reactions, don't post.

As for being smart, smart would be to check your consulate website, call them or Google. So please don't start about smart here.

Good luck with your interview!
