Hi,

I passed interview on 9/7, but still no oath letter yet. Anybody with the similar interview date get their oath letters? When is the next Oath ceremony in S.F. bay area?

Thanks.

I have heard that they have Oath Ceremonies twice a month, but I am not 100% sure,
were you recommended for approval? how was your interview experience?

Hello,

Did your interviewing officer gave you a sheet called N-652, Interview Results, right after your interview? Was it indicated on there if you were recommended for approval?

I was interviewed in SF as well, a week and a few days after your appointment date and I am already a US citizen and have my US passport in hand.. You could try to speak to an immigration officer by calling their customer service just to follow-up and ask to speak with a tier 2 rep or an immigration officer. Calling is a hit or miss thing. Some will connect you to an IO and some won't. I did this myself and learned when exactly I got the final approval from the supervisor (3 days after my interview) and when I was put in queue for oath. But your mileage may vary as each case is different. I just thought that you could try getting ahold of an IO by calling.. Or you could also make an infopass appt., it may or may not be helpful.. And if it has been longer or anytime you prefer, you could also ask the help of your congressman or senator (I used Sen. Dianne Feinstein's liaison previously, on some immigration issues during the I-485 process) to communicate to the USCIS and find out what's causing the temporary hold up on your behalf. As for the upcoming oath ceremony dates and venue, I have no idea.. hopefully someone else comes along with the information. We were sworn in at the Masonic Auditorium very recently.

Good luck! I hope you hear from the USCIS soon with some good news.

Hi climx -

Sorry to hear - I'm in the same boat; passed interview on 8/31 and still haven't heard. Lawyers said letter should take no more than 2-3 weeks but still no sign and I've had to postpone several work trips 'cause I don't have a letter/date for the oath ceremony. Haven't even been able to find out when the next few ceremonies are!

:/

Good luck to us both!

Hi, Thanks for reply. I did get N-652 with 'recommended for approval' checked on 9/7. My interview was very straight forward, IO just verified items on N-400. It took less than 20 min. I will call customer service number to see what happens.

Hi Googlemethis,

I called customer service number today, but did not get transferred to IO. I was told that oath letter may take up to 90 days after interview. I guess it is just some standard language they tell everyone. I will call again. Can you advice how I can make representatives transfer my call to Tier2 or IO as you mentioned? Thanks a lot.

To Speak to a Level 2 Customer Service

When the regular level 1 customer service picks up tell them that you are requesting them to transfer you to level 2 customer service rep. You must keep on insisting even when they ask you if your issue is something they can handle, just say NO I need to speak to a level 2 customer service rep for specific information on my case. It worked for me about four times when i had an inquiry on my case. They may tell you that a Level 2 officer will give the exact same information they will offer, Tell them no problem just transfer me to a Level 2 officer. Good luck!!!!
