Question about Notice and 2nd NL

Hi

My parents won the DV 2011, they got the first NL in May, sent back the required docs in June, but never got a notice or anything from Kentucky that they received their documents, and still didn't get a second NL, even if their number was 15** and someone on this site told me they should get it in like August. (they are from Europe) Does Kentucky sends you a notice in the mail? or you check on their website?? Or could I call saying who I am and trying to check it for my parents?
Just want to know make sure everything is going alright. I made sure they sent all the correct papers with first NL and filled everything correct so shouldn't be any problems.

Hi, it's very imperative and crucial that you send KCC an e-mail at kccdv@state.gov as soon as possible. When sending the message, please quote the winner's complete case#, winner's full name, winner's date of birth in mm-dd-yyyy format and country.
If the above particulars are not included in the message, kcc will NOT reply you. Peace! Benniit
 
Ok I get that if I email them, but what seems to be the problem?? Were my parents supposed to receive a confirmation in the mail or something before the 2nd NL?? What do I need to email KCC about?

Tell them you've still not received your 2nd nl, and would like to know the status of your application.
Whatever the problem is they'll be able to tell/help u. Looking at the date of receipt of 1st nl and date of submitting the forms, u shd get the 2nd nl by now. Hopefully, it will be lying in the box by the end of this wk. Pls do email them now with the said particulars. Peace! Benniit
 
Thank you, I was a little worried at first, but I saw some other people saying they sent their papers in at the same time, with about the same number, and still haven't received 2NL and hoping to get it this week. I will contact KCC and see what they say.

We are also still waiting for the second letter. As you said, you have to expect it this or the coming week.

It not for me its for my parents and yes I hope they get it this week or next. I got a question though, did you receive a receipt or a notice in the mail after you sent back the first package?? Or you just have to wait for the 2nd NL?

Hi, Victor, Kcc will NOT notify u about receipt of the forms, u need to request for confirmation of your forms 3 to 4 wks after you've sent them. Peace! Benniit

Well I didn't knew that so I didn't requested for any confirmation, does it really matter now anymore? Should I ask now, or just wait for 2nd NL?

Yes, u need to know the status of your application. I thought u had even sent them the email, cos u still don,t know whether they received ur dad's package. Peace! Benniit

I did sent them an email, they just haven't responded yet.
 
Victorb, we will be waiting to hear what kcc will say about the case of your parents. It will help us learn what is happening to applications sent in june. Olawumi, who also sent his forms relatively late, was told today that his application is acceptable for visa processing. KCC is almost coming to the processing of forms sent really late (july, august) which is a great news for guys like Benniit to get their interview dates on time.
