confused: Can Children Not Follow Within 6 Month Of IV Visa Period

Hi, I won DV 2010 & get the IV on the paspor untill 30 Nov 2010, I have 2 girls : 4 y.o & 2.5 y.o.
My plan going to US this Sept - oct 2010 to activate my GC. But my child the 2.5 y.o, recently she doesn't have good health condition to travelling for a long time especially inside the flight (flight hour from Indonesia to US takes 18 hour).
Most of my family suggest me not to bring this child but I am affraid as the US embassy officer was told me ; "If one of your child not enter into the US within 6 monh period of your visa, so she's not able to get a green card" (I dont want this happen to my child).
But if she must go to US and when we arrive she get sick, all my time and my 1 or more weeks in the US will be bussy to visit the doctor to recover her. The other thing my plan also to travelling between city to city and state to state arround US for 1 month to find place for my family in the future, and with this situation she could get sick again.

Does anyone can give me advise what should I do ? :(

Thank you...

Yes its a FACT and the US LAW...if not entered within 6 mos of visa stamp...it is canceled and NO hopes for a GC, so act fast !!

Unfortunately one can't blame the 'system' for individual hardships.
You knew about this already and waited for so long to enter and further complicated things.

My advise as for your options;

1. Enter US asap and send child back home asap while you take care of things here (but make sure child come back to US within a year or you get lawyer advice how he/she can stay away for longer)
(yes it will cost you money for travel and etc., thats a fact too....after all one cannot have the cake and eat it too !!)

2. You may want to check, recheck about this option more.....Come with child to US without a fear of 'hospital or Dr bills'.
Many US states take care of 'babies' with GC status right from day 1 under their state medicaid program. NY, MA, OH are some examples.
Ask one of your friends/relatives in the state you plan to move how this works in that state. Usually you do not have to worry about having medical coverage from day 1. Provided you get eligibility (depends on income, funds in the bank etc.) state medicaid programs cover bills from the past like 3-6 mos prior to enrolling day in the program. PL FIND OUT SPECIFICS OF THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE A DECISION BASED ON THIS OPTION.

Immigration to another country you have not lived long before is a life changing experience no doubt, and there are initial hardships which one needs to put up with. Courage is something one need a lot in that endeavor.

Good Luck !
