Name change in OCI (San Francisco)

I have following questions. Any help is greatly appreciated.
1. How to put an Ad in India News paper? How much it costs? Which News paper for Mumbai?
2. Is there any specific format of name change advertisement?
3. My name in Naturalization certificate is exactly same as that of Indian passport. Its just that US passport does not have middle name as it was optional and I did not put in application form.. so technically there is no name change. Do I still need Advertisement?

If your name is on NC you should be able to request it to be added to your US PP with no charge if you PP is not more than 1 year old. Please look at passport instruction site.

If you are still required to place the ad, there is couple of website that place ads for you ads2book.com and indiaclassifieds.com where you can place ad on line. Not sure what kind of documentation they require, but you may have to arrange for someone to pick up the paper and send it you. These website do not do that. I have not done this personally but looked at the possibility. I am in DC though and they changed all rules about name change so I am going to submit my application and let them tell me what they need. But I heard from my brother in India the Deccan Chronicle would place the ad using the name change affidavit.

Passport Customer service informed me the same info. But it is not free if it is not their mistake.

Costs Rs 485 for Navbharat times in Mumbai & Rs 270 for Thanthi for 8 line Ad.
I never heard of Thanthi, so I am not sure if it is accepted by Consulate or not.

Can some one give me the format of name change Ad that is accepted by Consulate General - San Francisco?
