i-130 approved

hi all.I received an email today from USCIS stating that my 1-130 petition has been approved.I know that the next step is that they forward my case to NVC.i would just like to know how long from nvc receiving my case to consulate interview?
 
please is there anyone who can answer my question.here are the details of my case:

married to usc wife who lives in boston.filed i-130 about a month ago.received email 3 days ago.please someone would like to know approximately how long for consular interview as we want to be together for christamas holidays.....
 
It depends upon each consulate. Where is your local consulate (ie. which country).

I can tell you for montreal consulate. Once all your documents are in (ie. DS 230, 864 and all additional PCC). That is, once all documents are received the case is forwarded to NVC. NVC completes the processing and grants an interview 2-3 months in advance.

Since you're in immediate relative category; NVC will contact your with DS-3032 (choice agent form) and then, you will receive Packet 3 to fill out. If everything goes well and according to timeline, It is safe to say that you can expect to be with your spouse during christmas holidays. I hope that makes you feel better :)

Hi Justmarried ,can you please tell me how long it took for your I-130 approved ?,when you filed ?
I filed in march 2010,still waiting for any progress.

april 30-mailed i-130
may 4-uscis received package
may 17-received noa1
may 20-wife sworn in as us citizen
june 8-received approval notice via email
