hi! we submitted allm the papers, including i-864 Affidavit of Suport signed by joint sponsor (my husband doesn't meet the requirements). I was invited for the FP appointment this coming morning. But tonight i got a letter from USCIS saying that the joint sponsor doesn't meet the 125% of poverty line requirement, which is not true. Is it a mistake? Also he got fired after the papers have been sent. Did USCIS check it and figure that the joint sponsor had been laid off? What should we do now? Find another one? we have 87 days to complete everything! Somebody, help!

USCIS basically has requested to submit evidence of the joint sponsor income that should meet requirements in order to be eligible for the Affidavit of support. Is it fair? It's not mine or my husband's or the sponsor's fault that he got fired at this particular moment, when the papers were being reviewed!!! We were so close to our aim... I could be working in a few months and able to apply for a university. That's all I needed.

Did YOU make a mistake? Are you sure you have the correct number of household members? Are you in Alaska or Hawaii?

If you're sure you got the numbers right, the letter may have been sent because the evidence of income was insufficient. What did you provide as evidence of his income?
