Hello, I am hoping someone who has had a similar experience can educate me on this issue. I filled both my I130 and my I485 at the Chicago lockbox on the same day, but in different envelopes. In the 485 envelope, I mistakenly included an extra fee for the I864 (was confused by the instructions), and the USCIS rejected the 485 application and sent it back to me for incorrect fee. I then refilled the following week including the receipt notice for the I130 (which has ben routed to the California service center). I got my I485 receipt notice this week and saw that it is being processed in the Missouri Service center. I am wondering how come both applications have been separated and how will they join them together to ensure the processing is smooth? Any experiences or insights will be appreciated. thanks!
