Does Foreclosure / Short sale in credit report affect the citizenship process

I submitted my N-400 application recently. I might have to do a foreclosure / short sale of my house due to difficult circumstances.

Does having the foreclosure / short sale in the credit history affect the citizenship process ?

No, economic misfortunes or credit reports does not affect your N400 application, as neither is an indication of good (or bad) moral character.
