My interview is coming soon! Plus visited cop and renewed passport, so kind of nervous right now!!!
I need some good lucks from you guys!

Any change in COP condition?

You should ask this from yourself, I would think the only reason could save you is change in condition of COP and anything else will smell fraud and bumpy road on your naturalization process or might cause further investigation on your asylum case and process. Just reminding you that USCIS has a unite called FRAUD UNIT and hopefully you won't need to deal with them.

Realfang, I'm same like you & my interview is on 12th Feb. Don't worry for being COP or renewing passport. USCIS in your interview pay more attention to your current situation ( any crime record/ arrest record those sort of things). Going to COP or renewing your passport might raise questions during asylum procedure but that's over now you are a PR so don't be nervous. Just make sure be consistent with your N-400 application cause officer may ask you few questions from that application. Going back to COP & stay there few days don't be a great deal. Like in my case I was gone only once & for only 16 days. I doubt that would be a big deal. I know a person who visited COP every year & renewed passport but had simply no problem during citizenship interview. So be positive. You will be just fine.

Now if USCIS takes 10 years to process some one's case what u think contry condition will still remain the same all our lives. Ofcourse not & that can not be fraud for sure. Please be positive & practical. Our asylum case is over now we are PR & USCIS has not much interest on those past issues now, rather they focus on our current records. Now yes, at interview we might be asked few questions regarding our asylum case but that's not the purpose of finding us fraud but rather routine questions. USCIS already know that it has been resolved by either IJ or asylum officer who approved our asylum cases. So please be positive & I'll prove that to you again on Feb 13 after my interview experience.

I did not know that condition of countries like Iran, Cuba and some other has changed in last 10 years or more but if it changes then answers IO's concern on the interview but what if doesn't? will it make sence to visit it if you are asylum? we are not here to suger quote the real issues and make false hopes and if some of are, I defenitly am not.At the same time hope that even fake asylums get their citizenship and there are many possibilities to happen in interviews and hopefully you will prove yourself that your case was not fraud but as a general knowledge visiting COP is a red flag and fraud does not happen just in asylum case but it could happen almost in any grounds like marriage, employment and others and beeing positive does not have anything to do with it.
On my interview IO was trying to track my trips and one of them was neighbering country and he was trying to connect me to viisiting COP and because it did not happen, I was so confident and relax. then he tried to find out that if the countries I visited in last 15 years has big population from my native country and I felt he is trying to connect me to something or just simply see my reaction. I was positive because again there was nothing for me to worry about. Now you conclude whatever suites you Positive or negative.

I am agree with mh saying many diffrent things might happen, At the end it is in discretion of IO and after all they are human and many other thing could change their opinion for better or worse toward the applicant and they have the autoority to bite under the law by delaying or refering to fraud unit or just simply approve the case. All I can say is that folks who visit the COP better have a good answers to the question if asked.

Dude, I guess we have difficulty to understand each other.I did not say posters case is fraud but I promise you that you can find a lot of them out there and one of obviouse specification of possible, Again possibleeeee fraud cases is visiting COP succesfully and getting away with it unless condition of the country changes, Now DUDE why you are emphesising that yours is not? does not make sense to me even though I was responding to the original poster and found you offended, Go figure.

DON'T PAY ATTENTION to NEGATIVE MINDS...
ok..everything will be fine...i work with refugees, permanent residents and new citizens.. everyday... and i can tell you that i know a lot of experiences and nobody got any PROBLEM...
i'm not asking you where you came from but some times they ask more questions to people who came from "interest countries" but that's the routine..soon you will be citizen and all the harrasment is gonna be history...
just keep for you never know the reasons cause YOU WENT to your country..like medical reports..medical situation of your family or whatever emergency...and if you just went for two weeks or not a long time everything is gonna be alright...a humanitarian reason etc...
DON'T answer what they don;t ask you...and because you w ent to visit a family member don';t make you a fraude..everybody have a mother or a father who really need to be see before something else..god protect you and your family..
so go in peace and positive..everything is gonna be alright..i CAN'T understand why some people love to scare people...that's not really cool....
ps/ i really MISS the old style of this forum..i feel a little lost with the new skin of this website..lol
