citizenship interview letter and 'yellow' letter!

I got my citizenship interview letter today, I also received a 'yellow' paper letter asking me to bring in my driver's licence AND all arrest records since I indicated on my application 'yes' to the question 'Have you ever been arrested, CITED,....." I have NEVER been arrested in my life! I marked 'yes' to that question since i got a speeding ticket about 4 months ago for about $100, I explained it on the application that it was a speeding ticket which I paid off by mailing them the payment with a check.

How to I resolve this when I go for the interview. How do I prove to the interviewing officer that I was NEVER arrested, just got a speeing ticket which I paid off imediately. I have no documentation of the proof.

I'm nervous now.

My second question is , does tha oath ceremony takes place the same day? (if everything goes well?)

Thanks guys!
Waiting for a reply.....

Include dates in your signature

Please add dates to your signature so that people can give you the advice. It is difficult for people to tell if oath is on the interview date without knowing your DO.

There is nothing to panic here. Even if you are not arrested, you will get that letter. Go to the county court where you got the ticket and ask the clerk that you need a court disposition on the ticket. Tell that you need it for your citizenship interview. Show that to the IO during the interview and tell him that you were never arrested. For the second question, you need to provide some information first. You can do that by going into "user CP", then go to "edit signature" and post your timeline over there, including your DO.

NO need to worry. That is standard verbiage. Just take proof of ticket payment and you will be fine.

How would I find a a proof that I paid off the ticket by sending them a check in the mail? What office do I have to go to for that proof?
Thanks guys!!!

P.S I just went into my online bank account and printed the check out , the one I use dto pay off the ticket. Will that be enough?

If you notice the experiences of people, there is a small probability that they will not even ask you despite listing this in YL. However, check copy is not sufficient. If you are asked, you should try to get a certified court disposition. Start with your country court and see who provides it.

I had 3 traffic tickets which I mentioned in my application, IO asked me if there were DUI or more than $500, I answered NO, then IO said ok then and she moved on.
i had receipt that I paid, but she never asked for it.

Hi hmcis
Will you please share your experience with the yellow letter during your interview on Dec 16? I also received same kind of yellow letter like you against my mentioning of speeding ticket for $80.00 in my N-400 application. Did 'arrest' in the yellow letter actually refer to the 'citation' for speeding? Did the IO ask for court record for the payment of the ticket? I'll appreciate your response.
