Was that bad sign?

I had interview this morning at 9:00 am.same as everybody else,waited for 15 mins then swore in by IO.everything are OK and IO congrat me,have me sign the N-652 and told me he will sign me for Oath at 9/23,then he had asked me " any questions?" and I asked one iuestion that is how long is going to take apply for my son after I became US citizen. now I thought that was really really stupid.

All of suddenly,thing start to chaning,he start to ask me about child custody right(my ex-wife and I was divoced 9 years ago) and I told him since my kid is not living in United States and court didi not do anything.after he steped out for mins,he came back told me "I have yo change my dicision and you need to send me copies of divoce documents and marriage cert( I married my present wife year ago) and you can catch oath celemony next month.

Question is: Is there going to be a problem? anybody heas been in same
sitiation before?

If you mentioned you prior marriage on N-400, and you have marriage cert or divorce paper you will be fine. He just wants to make sure you told the truth. Good luck.
 
Once again, over-excitement is a source of pin in the OP's butt. Why didn't you just shut up and get yur citizenship and asked that question in this forum? Now you have to go and dig up information which was unnecessary, what a bunny man...:D

Yes,all the information was mentioned in my application.2 marriages,my son's name,address,my ex-wife's name etc.by the way, I am not apply base on marriage GC.

I don't get it. You are supposed and I believe you did disclose these info already on the N400 and sent documents already. Even if not, the IO should have asked for it anyway.

(The instruction for N400 clearly say one should send in divorce documents
for the prior marriages)

How come the IO did not care until you asked a question after the interview?

I have no idea at all,He waited just after I asked the question.If I just said No everything will be perfect and I didn't notice that I should disclose these certs
 
Don't worry, you will get oath letter soon. You deserved to be a citizen so you will get the oath letter soon. We all are excited about the outcome. I don't believe you made a mistake asking about your child's future application. Everyone's interview is different. My interview took 80 minutes. The IO was not friendly but I did not mind. I was talking confidently. He wanted to know all about my life with my US husband. He questioned me as I was a culprit, some times he was in a sarcastic mood but I believe I did nothing wrong applying in 3 yrs catagory because I have nothing to hide. My hubby has children and they loves me. We are having a good life. He think I am a muslim girl and he is a christian, I am Asian, we have age difference of 8 yrs. He is a lovely person and I never felt the age difference in our daily life. He looks younger than me. We are not rich but we always talk about how happy we are. We live together for almost 6 yrs.

You are right,we have nothing to hide and we did our best to trying to be good citizens in this country.by the way,I am asian myself and I think all the immigrants who living in this country nothing but hard worker and they deserved to have good life here.
