When will I get the Oath letter?

Hi All,

I completed my interview at the Oakland Park(FL) DO on 08/31/2009 and was told by the Interviewing Officer that I was approved and I should get my oath letter in about a weeks time and I have not gotten it as yet. Should I be worried or does it normally take longer. My 5 years will be up on 09/10/2009 so I got to the interview earler than expected. Please advise.

Anyone with similar experience?

Yes, I had my interview on 8/20, recommended for approval, still waiting for the oath letter. Some people in the same DO who got interviewed around the same time got their oath letter and already citizens. God knows how USCIS works, just be patient, it will come ...

It should come within another week, someone from Oakland park got the same result at interview and their letter did arrive the second week.

I am in the second week now and searching the mailbox every day. I hope I will get this soon though

If you don't hear from USCIS for 120 days (it is rule), contact them, set up an INFOpass appointment or contact Congress/House of Representatives.

Hope you get an oath letter soon.
