hello, I came to the usa as an exchange visitor student (on j1 visa), then i extended that and got b-2 visa, then i applied for political asylum. I was denied on first interview and after in the immigration court. I appealed to the BIA (Immigration appeals ), I received a denial from them on the april 13th 2009. I decided to exercise a voluntary departure and leave the country within 2 months from the date of the denial. I left the USA on june 7th. But there is one snag, I got married on may 5 th of 2009 my wife with a lawyer filed a 130-petition(it is pending now). All Evidence of the marriage was sent to the Immigration Service by my lawyer. I am a citizen of Russia, I live in there now.
My questions are how long the whole process is going to take, if a get approved in DHS what then? Will my wife have an interview? What kind of interview i am going to have in Moscow? What are my chances there? What type of questions will be asked? Is my political asylum going to affect my case somehow?
Thank you so much!!! if anybody has anything on particular case, please let me know, it will be greatly appreciated!!!
