How to prove my relationship with my father?

I read the instructions for I-130, and was surprised to know that my birth certificate is not enough for proving my relationship with my father. It seems that I must also provide the marriage certificate of my parents. However, my mother passed away so we can't find their marriage certificate. Any advice?

Get a Non-Availability of Marriage Certificate from the local marriage bureau where your parents lived/got married and 2 affidavits from persons who witnessed the marriage.
