Can I chose where to do my consular interview?

Sorry for all the questions but I hope this will be helpful to others.

Apparently, I can choose where I have my consular interview even if the package I received said "Post: Nairobi". I would much prefer to do it in London, UK where my sister/family is (plus I am a UK citizen).

Does it matter where I go? On the DSP-122 it says I have a choice and I believe London has a post where they process immigrant visas.

Does London have a longer processing time than say Nairobi? I guess it shouldn't matter since KCC will schedule my interview when they are ready regardless of where I chose to be interviewed.

Thanks in advance :)

are you saying for axample if one hails from let's say Iraq and currently lives in usa can choose to do interview in mexico?

No, that's not what I'm saying. You can only choose the place of interview based on your current resident or previous resident or place of Citizenship. Since SADK2 said that He's a UK Citizen, He will be allowed to choose London as the place of his interview.

What I mean from "It doesn't matter" is that it doesn't matter where he choose to do the interview, Nairobi or London, both should have the same processing time.
