scheduling interview

hiiii,
I'm a winner of DV2009 lottery and my case number is AF51XXX. I'm anticipating to be current in August 2009. my question is ,is't possible to call KCC to schedule an interview date rather than specifying me one when my case number is current. For example, rather than KCC scheduling my interview in mid or end of month can i ask them to schedule it to the beginning of the month.

No you can not. It is not up to the KCC to give you the schedule, it is actually up to the U.S Embassy/Consulate where you will be interviewed.

If you need to make changes on your interview date, wait until KCC send you the 2nd NL that has the interview appointment letter. From there, contact the U.S Embassy/Consulate where you will be interviewed and ask them if they can reschedule your interview date to an earlier or later time.

You should be getting the 2nd NL about 2 months before the interview date, so you have plenty of time to contact the U.S Embassy/Consulate.

Thank yu for the fast replay. This is mean i can not do any thing till receiving the 2nd. Is it possible to contact KCC to ask about my interview date when my CN is current or i just have to wait the 2nd NL.

When your CN is current, you can always ask KCC if they already scheduled you an interview date. No need to wait for 2nd NL.

Once you know the appointment schedule from KCC (either by phone/e-mail/ 2nd NL) then you can call or e-mail the U.S Embassy/Consulate where you are scheduled and ask them about a date change.
