Hi everyone,

I just received my biometrics notice for 6/17/09 but the thing is can I have it sooner because my husband won't be available at that time bec he has a class to attend in the US Army and I can't go there alone coz I live 2 hours away from the USCIS office and I don't even have a DL. :(

Any advice?

Thanks!

Do it ASAP. I showed up a week before my appointment and made something up. They usually don't care and will take you in right away...The faster you get it done, the faster your case is approved

I don't need to call the 1800 number for that? so I'll just go there and explain myself and thats it?

I've heard people did walk-in and were able to do it. I also heard in some offices you can't do that. Don't call 800 number - it's useless, what you can do is to schedule Infopass and put "fingerprint" as a reason there. In my DO I was able to schedule Infopass for the next day, so shouldn't be a problem.

Yes just show up!I would mention your husband is in the service, and you cannot make it on that day. Wast of time calling the 800 number....
Look at my bio in my timeline below!

When you go for walk-in Fingerprinting, please make sure the office is open that day.
e.g. San Francisco office is CLOSED on MONDAYS and they work on SATURDAYs.
The first time , I went there was Monday :-(

Secondly, make sure you do not cut your hand in any way prior to FP.
Drinking ample water helps but not required as they will put humidifier if prints are illegible.
