Question: Using a different address from your birth country

I am a Moroccan who lives in Spain with a Permanent Resident/Work permit. I applied for the DV-2010 GC Lottery using my Spanish address as contact.

So I am thinking now that there might be some kind of problem or delay doing such thing, because so far all the Moroccans I've heard received the KCC letter used a Morocco address.

So, my question is: Using an external address outside your birth country can delay or block you from receiving the letter in the case you are a lucky winner?

Thanks and regards,

I wonder who exactly told you that all letters for Morocco have been received and how they can be so sure about it when we're still in the middle of receiving letters and reports are still being made for all regions. Just wait until July 1 and use the online check.

I have not said all the Moroccans have received the letter, I have said that all the Moroccans that received the letter and I heard about them were using a Moroccan ADDRESS.

My question is about if being from a country and using another country's address will delay or block the letter in the case you are a winner, not if all Moroccans have received the letter.

Please read carefully.

Thanks.

Using a foreign address does not affect your entry in any way. It purely depends on your case number and how fast postal service in your country of residence is when you receive the letter. If you are selected that is, of course.

I'm a dv2010 winner from Ghana but lives in the UK. I used my UK address in filling the online form. I received my winning notification in the UK address even though Uk citizens are not eligible to participate in the lottery.

Don't worry, once you are selected you will get your notification wherever you are based.
