Hi guys,
I got a yeallow letter today asking me to bring drivers license or state issued ID.
The thing is that I live in NYC and never needed a DL, as for ID I have always used my GC.
The question is, do I need to get DL or state ID for the interview or I can just come to the inteview with my GC as my ID.
Thank you,
HudsonValley

They may want to see it to verify your state residency.

As for me, they never asked me to see my state ID...I had my jobs that show I lived in my current state long enough. I didn't receive a yellow letter though.

The IO asked for mine during the interview (SF DO). I too received a yellow letter requiring me to bring it, and the day of the interview she wanted to see both my GC and DL.

It is fine if you don't have one. There is no law reqquired one to have DL or state ID.

But I suggest you go to get a state ID. You can get one very quickly
because it does not require driver test.

A state ID is very useful so you don't have to carry your GC (even it isr
required by law).

Get a State ID. You have to surrender your GC in the oath taking ceremony, and you will have no form of ID.
