Hi, I had interview on the 6th of May . It went ok for everything and they are happy with my documetations. But they put me under the administraton process.

I am sure nobody knows how long the background check will take. But I want to know has anybody been denied for a visa before because the background check was completed after the 30th of September? or because the background check ended after they ran out of DV immigrant visas?

is this likely to happen for someone whose background check end after 30th of september?

Hi I'm sure it's about your country. No offense but they usually double check your background if you are from a muslim country.
Where are you from?

If the visa is not issue Sept. 30, 23:59 it's over.

However, admin. processing can me everything. I would not worry, there is plenty of time before Sep. 30.

Well I am from Venezuela. I already went through Background check when I applied for non-immigrant visa (B2/B1), which was granted in February 2008 after the bacground check was over. Does anyone know if bacground check something to do with names? My records are extremely clear.

Hi gallbladder,
I scanned through this forum about members who put under admin-processing or background check.
It seems that all of them got their visas.
I hope you are fine.

my case is also under Admin/process. I submit e-DV with my wife. At that time she is just 17 years old. We can't make the marriage certificate. At the interview they asked for our wedding photos but we didn't have any photo. So they told me my case is under admin processing. My interview date is 4th May, 2009. I'm from Burma(Myanmar). My case number is 14***. How long have I to wait to get visa. Do I have a chance to get visa? Please answer. I'm so nervous now. These days are really bad days for me. Please anyone reply my questions.

No wedding certificate, no photos, nothing and you wonder your case was classified as suspicious? Hopefully I'm wrong, but I 've the strong feeling they knock down your case and issue no DV-Visa.

But we are really wife and husband. And I eloped her before I submit the e-DV form. What should I do? Should I still wait for the visa?

Marriage proof if important

kkpsk, the consular officer has to o by legal means to make sure that u r eligible for the immigrant visa. It would be stupid thing from the consular officer to accept the fact that you are her husband without legal proof. If he gives you the visa without a marriage proof, the consular officer may be questioned by the higher authority about this mistake and he may be kicked out of his job with a bad reference. So be realistic.

I think you made a very big mistake that you should not fill your marital status as married because your marriage is not legally recognized by the government !

I think you have very little chance to get the visa ! Oh,this is just my opinion !

Anyway,good luck to you !

Hello DavidTseng,
How about your case?
I am also myanmar.
If you have interviewed, pls share your interview experence.

Hi !
My interview is in June.I'm very nervous now.I prepared my best for the interview but I'm not sure that I will qualify ! It's totally depend on the decision of the US consular officer !

Can you tell me a little about you ? Are you living in Myanmar ?

You need to have some evidence that you two indeed are married. It could be a marriage license or wedding photos, etc. She can be 17 and be married if your country allows it. You have the burden to convince the embassy that the marriage is legitimate and it's not enough just by saying you are husband and wife.

hi

hi,
Actually I eloped her because she's got pregnant. But we aborted him. In our country abortion is illegal. But we have some evidence such as ultrasound and medical record book. Should I show the embassy about the evidence? We only have that evidence. We already submitted the embassy The Affidavit of our marriage and wedding certificate which is signed by us when she is over 18 years old(the date is 20th february 2009).
