Is unpaid traffic ticket is a big problem for naturalization purposes?
Is unpaid traffic ticket is a big problem for naturalization purposes?
I don't understand why this is a question. You have two choices when receiving a ticket: pay the ticket or plead not guilty. In some states, if you don't pay moving tickets, your license will be revoked.
You will have to disclose any speeding tickets in your N-400 form because you were "cited" by the police. You may need to produce disposition letter from the court if requested.
Thank you! My question: Is that a problem for naturalization purposes, failing to pay a speeding ticket? you answer said if you "cited" by the police, What do you mean? Is that apply to any ticket that was issued by a police or what? Your help is well appreciated
If you did not pay a traffic citation, it may surface during naturalization interview and file review. It is also possible that because you have an unpaid ticket, there is a warrant out for your arrest.
