Me and my husband are preparing the applications to file AOS of me and will file them after my husband becoming US citizen (probably next month). My husband is going to fill out his G-325A form. My questions are as followed;

- In the first line, "File number A", does it mean my husband Alien# on his green card (before he becomes us citizen)?

- All other names used: my husband legally changed his name long time ago (from his foreign name to american name)...does he need to fill out his old name? (He didn't use it anymore)

- "Applicant's last address outside the United States of more than one year", i don't quite understand its meaning...My husband came to USA since 1993 and got the greencard since then, and he doesn't remember his address before coming to USA..what should he answer in this question or can he just leave it blank?

- question "This form is submitted in connection with an application for"
What should he choose?

Thank you guys so much for help!!

Since your husband is not a natural born US citizen then he will need to always put down his alien number that he is given even after he becomes a US citizen thru naturalization. So, yes he needs to put his given alien#. This alien number will stick to me forever and he will need to provide it whenever and wherever he will be asked this alien number.

Yes, your husband must need to mention ALL the names he has EVER used legally...That being said, he must need to write his old/previous name.

He should put his last address outside the US regardless of when he stayed there. If he doesn't remember then he should try hard to remember or go check the record of paperwork he filed during the green card processing. He must have copies of immigration papers that he filed with USCIS when he adjusted his status.

He should choose OTHER option and then specify exactly like this- Spouse's AOS. He needs to write exactly as I've written because if he will try to write this all in CAP lock then it won't fit, thus write exactly as I've written.
