OPT -Phd

Hi

Currently I am on OPT and it started from Dec 15-2009.

My Questions are:

1) I have to go India this March for my real sisters marriage and I ll be back by March 22nd. So can I travel on OPT???...if so please suggest me a good way...

2) My Opt started on 15-Dec'09 and I didn't find job/intern till now?....As we know we have to find an employment within 90 days, but I didn't...so what should I do in order to get my OPT extension???

3) Bcoz of the current situation(H1 Filings) and economy, my employer is not ready to file H-1b this April '09 and no other consulting companies are ready file H1, so ...

a) Can I go back to school and join P.hd during my OPT period???
b) Also, can I apply for H1 under MS Quota for next April 2010 during my Phd???


Plz.....kindly help me regarding these issues......

You can go and travel back if you have a valid F1 visa. You also need EAD card, I-20 endorsed for OPT and a job letter if available.

Probably nothing you can do.

Yes you can and that seems to be a good alternative to you, most people are doing the same.

My Masters is from Electrical Eng and I am going to show him job offer letter(iif he ask me) which is from IT. Will there be any problem because I m from Elec. ??

Do they ask me any questions ?
