AOS Waiting Times

Hey you guys,

What is the typical waiting time these days to receive the GC from the day someone files I-485 for AOS based on Asylee who has finished his waiting period of 1 year! What factors does it depend on (age, nationality, gender, etc)?

Probably depends on COP, if lets say you're from Syria Pakistan Aghanistan Iran Iraq etc, It may take longer because of background and FP checks.
Ive filed I-485 in July of 2006 and got my approval in March 2007 - Roughly 8 mos. And they backdated my GC so I am resident Since March 2006

thanks a lot. what if you are from one of the countries u mentioned but have been continuously background and name checked by FBI not long before your I-485 filing and the checks have gone smoothly and fast?!

They gonna double check you anyway, it's like taking fingerprints everytime you trying to get something from them EAD GC etc
