Hi all,

I am planning to apply I-130 for my spouse, who is still overseas now. When applying I-130 for a spouse, which of the following do I need to submit?

- Her current passport
- My foreign passport
- My US passport

Thanks you!

I'd rather "teach a man to fish, than to give him a fish"... :)

For whatever reason, people start filing out forms without reading the instructions and... make a mess... so the best advice is to: READ the INSTRUCTIONS.

In this case, from I-130 instructions from USCIS.gov website, some excerpts that answer the OP's questions:

What Documents Do You Need to Show That You
Are a U.S. Citizen?of your marriage:

A copy of your naturalization certificate or certificate of
citizenship issued by USCIS or the former INS.

A copy of your unexpired U.S. passport;

That is it, no mention of former passport... no mention of the alien's passport either... however, for she will need them for other forms.

That is not teaching someone how to fish. Your answers are outrightly nasty. This is not the first time and I am not the first one to say this. Be nice to people, even if you don't know them or agree with them.
