Sponsoring In laws

This is not the right forum, but direct me where it is appropriate.

My In laws are planning to visit us, who would be better to sponsor them? me or my wife. we both work. Thanks,
 
Are you both US citizens? You cannot sponsor somebody else's parents, only your own. And you have to be a US citizen. So for your in-laws, only your wife can sponsor them. But it is a bad idea for them to come on a visitor visa and then immediately file I-130 applications for them, as that would raise visa fraud suspicions since people entering the country with B1/B2 visas are not supposed to have immigrant intent.
