File is with an officer!!!!!!

Hi Guys

My case is pending since 4/2007 and I received the following notice from NSC with regards to my case. Could you please tell me what it means?

"Your application is currently with an officer; you will be notified when a decision has been made or if additional information is needed."


Is it a good thing, a bad thing, or is it just something they do as soon as they receive cases???
 
Its definitely a good thing. This is the equivalent of getting your token number displayed on the DMV's currently serving list accompanied by the audio "Now Serving..."

Notice means reply to service request ?? if yes when did u open the service request. just wanted to get the time frame to expect the reply of mine.
 
Hi

I called that 800 number in May (5/19 or 5/20 I believe). I did not hear back anything from them until 7/25 when I called them again and opened another service request. This notice that I got (yesterday 8/1) was in response to the inquiry of 7/25 as they had indicated in the CRIS emil.


Dealing with USCIS is really frustrating
