Dates of employment and residence?

Hello all

I am filling out the N-400 forms for citizenship for my entire family. I am stuck in section 6 part A and B - the section that asks about the dates of employment and residence.

I had lived in 3 apartments before I moved into a house. I know the months of the move, but dont know the exact date of move. Do I need to have the exact date? I am thinking just saying beginning of the month if I dont know the date.

Same question for employment - I had 3 jobs so far, but I do not know the exact start and end dates for previous jobs - but I know the month that I started and left the job. How accurate do my dates have to be? Can I write the 1st of the month?

Thank you!

Just a thought -- it would be better to write the month and yr in such cases probably since the exact date isn't known. For ex Jan 98-Jul 98 .

Of course one can't do this with travel dates since then the exact day count will be needed.

Yeah I did the same thing MM/YYYY. I think giving the approximate date is alrite for people who has changed many jobs or have been worked parttime in different places while working fulltime.

Same here - I rounded the months up or down and just listed the month and year. Other wise, it gets too confusing if because I have moved in the last week of a month or even middle of a month during one occasion.

Don't over complicate - simplify!
