Hi,

Case sent to I-485 supervisor for adjudication means all checks are cleared and waiting for approval?

my Pd is October 2001

Thank you

it means waiting for "decision" and you should hear from them in 30 days. In most cases, the decision is 'approval'.

I'm not sure it means 'approval'; reason, I got same info when I went for IP on May 08 and IO said the same thing, case is sent to adjudication officer; Again I went IP on today got info from IO that FBI namecheck is pending and is initiated after my FP for 2nd-EAD which I did on end of May 08. I don't understand why they are initiating namecheck twice for me and the IO said everytime FP is done the namecheck will be initiated.

My PD 12/2000
Case is EB2
I-485 RD 04/12/2007

Do you have any insight, I'll appreciate it.

this is my understanding if name check is pending even if your pd is current they may not process ur case. my pd is eb3 and has been current for almost year (jan - june) this year but still haven't been processed, as they have many cases with pending name check more than 180 days. if case is very old will get priority and they did approve those. if name check is cleared then most of the time they approve it without delay. they will clear a name check as per the new FBI memo schedule and will approve the cases accordingly. hope for the best.

I called USCIS thru phone and was talking to IO (not the customer support rep); she said that there will be lot of checking will happen before approval and stressed they received special circulation on Feb 2008 stating not to wait for FBI name check clearance and if it is pending more than 180 days and is current they will approve the case. Also said, my case is in active process and there may be some verification needed which was initiated June 2008. She complained there system is experiencing slowness last 2 days and asked me to give call again on Friday or Monday nextweek; as she is not able to look more detailed information from different processing office/department status for my case.
Let me see what happens on Friday or Monday.
