2nd FP notice received

I got a 2nd FP notice today. Don't know whether this is standard 2nd FP notice as my first one is expired or my name check has is moving forward. My timeline

PD Jan 07
1st FP - Feb 07
Junk letters from USCIS - Stating we are reviewing you case and please do not contact for 6 months, blah, blah
Infopass - A couple of times
2nd FP - June 08

Please share your experience and thoughts.

Ofcourse the good sign is that USCIS hasn't forgotten about you and it shows that you are active in the system & hopefully you should be receiving your IL soon. On the other hand your 15 months are up and the system has generated 2nd FP notice automatically.
I got my 2nd FP notice in Sept last year and in a weeks time got my IL for Oct 2007. When I went for the interview, my file was still missing and hence my interview never took place :mad:
 
I can feel your pain atlanta_brother. I have not had much luck with this agency from h1 days. My h1 took 2 years, GC took 5 years.

Based on the past postings, 70% of applicants have received IL after 2nd FP. I will wait and see if there are more screw-ups with my N400 case.

A friend of mine went thru his 2nd FP last Wednesday, I think it was 5/28. If he receives his IL in the mail anytime soon, I will let you know immediately. This way you will have an idea about your case too. By the way his PD was Jan 2007 from Atlanta DO. Send me a test e-mail at:

Three of the applicants (including me) received second FPs; they all got ILs within a month.

It could be and it could not be a good sign, who knows. You only find out when you appear for your interview. The file has to be there too for the interview to take place. I was also called for the interview about a week later after my 2nd FP. No file was there so no interview took place.
