OCI and customs duty exemptions in India

When you travel to India with an OCI, do you get the same level of customs exemptions limits as NRI's or are they reduced to those allowed for non-Indians?

e.g. on one of my last India trips, I was able to carry and gift a personal laptop to my brother. Will I be able to do this with OCI as well?

I don't think OCI makes any difference in this respect.

Can you pl. clarify? No difference as in same benefits as NRI's or same benefits as other non-Indians?

As per OCI description, we are supposed to have same economic/financial benefits as NRI's. But, customs forms in India don't mention OCI specifically.

I mean same benefits as NRIs. OCI has no bearing on custom formalities - I just got my OCI and haven't traveled to India since then, but my son and some close friends have and they completed the customs just like they did before they got OCI.
